Loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister
Canton- During the peaceful early morning hours of Tuesday, June 18, 2019 Betty Lee Jenkins Rhinehart entered into her Heavenly home.
Betty was born September 29, 1948 in Jackson County to the late Leroy Jenkins and the late Evelyn Carroll Jenkins. She had resided most of her life in Haywood County and was a Pisgah High School graduate. Mrs. Rhinehart was employed as the breakfast co-ordinator with Burger King in Canton for 22 dedicated years. Her delightful personality was a joy to all of her customers and the multitude of friends that she had known throughout her lifetime. Betty was an avid reader, an amazing cook, and a dedicated homemaker. She loved bluegrass music and during the summer season, she could often be found on Friday nights enjoying “Pickin in the Park” in Canton. Betty loved her family with all her heart and her precious life has been a blessing to so many. We give thanks for the life of Betty Jenkins Rhinehart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Rhinehart who passed away in 2009; an infant brother, Harold and also her brother, Tommy Jenkins.
Surviving are her sons, Bruce Jenkins and his wife, Kim of Canton and Ricky Burris of Hickory; her daughter, Sandy Rhinehart of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Brooke and her husband, Aaron, Holly and her husband, Jimmy and Noelle; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Noah and also a baby blessing on the way; brothers, Terry Jenkins of Dandridge,Tennessee and Marvin Jenkins and his wife, Anne of Canton; a sister, Kay Fox and her husband, Gary of Olive Branch, Mississippi and many dear friends.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Rhinehart will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2019 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastor David Reed will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 2:00 pm prior to the service.
