A Special Lady

 Canton- Bonnie Rector Green, age 86, a lady that was loved by all blessed to know her, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Autumn Care of Waynesville.

 A lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Willis and Ollie Teaster Rector. Mrs. Green was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother and her precious memory shall be cherished forever.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zeb “Bud” Green who passed away in 2007; brothers, Cecil and Carroll Rector and sisters, Marsene Rector and Shirley Stamey.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy Ferguson and her husband, Michael of Baneberry, Tennessee, Robin Allen and  her husband, Dean of Clover, South Carolina and Sharon Henson and her husband, Doug of Canton; grandchildren, Adam Henson and his wife, Jada of Canton, Leah Henson Milan and her husband, Brandon of Waynesville and Ashley Keys and her husband, Jeremi of Easley, South Carolina ; great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Rose, Bonnie Jo and Nora Grace Henson all of Canton; great-grandsons, Cannan  and Caid Milan of Waynesville; brother-in-law, Neil Stamey of Canton and sister-in-law, Ollie Green of Clyde.

A  time of gathering of family and friends and visitation will be held from at 11:00 am  until 12 noon on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service with a graveside committal service following at Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde.

Memorials may be made to Haywood Hospice and Palliative Care, 127 Sunset Ridge Road, Clyde, NC 28721.

My deepest sympathy to all of Bonnie's family. She was a joy to have as a member of Canton Senior Center, before going into the residential center. I visited her there several times.
