Waynesville -  As the warm morning sunlight fell upon the mountains on Saturday, September 22, 2018, Brenda Sue Carver McFalls , age 63, was called to her heavenly home by her Lord and Saviour.

Brenda was born October 2, 1954 to the late Carroll Carver and the late Mazie Hannah Carver. She had made her home in Haywood County before residing in Sylva for the past several years.  Brenda loved the mountains where she was born and raised and enjoyed spending time camping, fishing and working in her garden. Brenda could do anything- she even had a talent for building. Her kind heart was dedicated to always helping her family and  friends, and anyone else that might need a helping hand. One of her fun pleasures was eating Chinese food and everyone that knew her could never forget that ! The wonderful holiday memories of Thanksgiving and Christmas with her family and this time of everyone being together will be cherished forever. Brenda was loved by everyone and in the words of her family, “She was our “Super Woman.” Brenda’s sweet memory will be held in our hearts forever.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa McFalls.

Surviving are her husband, Glenn McFalls; her children, Michele Ashe and Mike, Gina Annette Sharp and Mike , Alan McFalls and Tonya McFalls ; a daughter-in-law, Wendie McFalls ; her grandchildren, Megan, Aaron, Shay, Trenton, Breanna, Josh, Jaden, Hunter and Marshal; her siblings, Linda Smith and Don, Joyce Price and Wayne and Benny Carver and Jackie.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening September 25, 2018 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home. Pastor Kenneth Rhinehart and Pastor Wayne Price will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehab Center and Blue Ridge Health Care on the Mountain for their kindness and special care given to Brenda and also a special thank you to  Blue Ridge Glass for their thoughtfulness to the family.

Memorials may be made in Brenda’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association of Western North Carolina, 31 College Place, Asheville, NC 28801.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the McFalls and Carver families.

Linda, Joyce, Benny and family, I have so many sweet memories of Brenda as a child growing up. Every summer when I came to visit, I couldn't wait to see my "Carver" cousins. As times past we all lose touch and it has been years since I have seen Brenda. She was always sweet and kind and I know she will be missed greatly. May the memories of her past carry you through until you see her again. Praying for comfort during this time of loss.
