Charles Edward Privett, 79, of Canton, entered his Eternal Home on Monday, August 20, 2018.

He was the son of the late Bradley and Myrtle Davenport Privett of Williamsburg, KY. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Pressley Privett; two sisters, Katheryn Collins and Phyllis Martin; three brothers, Carl, Merle, and George Privett.

Survivors include his sons, Tracy Privett and his wife, Kay, of Candler and Jimmy Privett and his wife, Krista, of Canton; grandchildren, Travis, Theresa, Brandon, and Amethyst Privett, Raiana Williams, Tiffany and Chris Burleson; four great-grandchildren, Alijah, Mia, Alivia, and Roman; three brothers, Kyle, Vernon, and Eugene Privett; two sisters, Dorothy Warren, and Betty Glander; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wanda and Sam Pressley, Tony and Janet Pressley, Tex and Nancy Pressley, Mike and Ann Pressley, and Jimmy Singleton; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Privett proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He had been employed with Champion International and retired in 2002 with 27 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church in Canton.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, August 29, 2018 Dutch Cove Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Miller and Pastor Roy Houston officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the church prior to the funeral service.  Entombment will be in The Horizon at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde.
