Canton- Elizabeth Jane Stamey, age 67, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Elizabeth held a true and genuine love for people.  With her giving heart and concern always for others, she was an example for each of us to follow.  We shall always remember Elizabeth’s gift of unconditional love that she shared with her family and all of those blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover Stamey and Nina Mae Gibson Stamey Young, a brother and also her former husband and the father of her children.

Surviving are her three children and also her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she cherished dearly.

Special words of thanks are extended to Elizabeth’s daughter-in-law and grandson who lovingly and faithfully cared for her and made it possible for her to remain in her home until the angels carried her to her eternal place of peace and glory.

To honor the request of Mrs. Stamey no formal funeral services will be held.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Stamey family and words of comfort may be shared at www.crawfordray.com

I remember being at your trailer on beaver dam and you telling me about this guy you wanted me to meet and his name was allen Scott. I thought he was such a dork wearing bell bottom jeans. Well we fell in love with each other and still together thirty three years later. Jane you and your family mean the world to us and we will always cherish the memories. Thank you for being the best friend we could ever ask for. You will trully be missed my dear friend. We love you.

So sorry for your loss. It's so hard when you lose a loved one. But to know they are no longer in any pain of any kind, but are at the feet of Jesus, makes the pain more bearable. We will be with those loved ones again, and when we are it will be for eternity, Thanks be to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We will keep you in our prayers. If you need anything please let us know. God Bless.
