Canton- Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Krause, age 70, a beloved and beautiful lady, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by those who loved and cherished her deeply on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.

Kathy was born March 13, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois before making her home in Canton for the past several years. She will forever be remembered as a talented artisan, who created amazing stained glass pieces that were admired by everyone. Kathy loved to cook and had been employed as a culinary chef at many resorts, hotel and restaurants throughout the United States. She was a great conversationalist and had made meaningful friendships with everyone she met.  Kathy had always felt her greatest achievement in life was her family and she held great pride in her heart for each of them. Kathy was lovingly known as “Joanne’s Chick” and in the words of her family, “She was the best.”

Surviving are her loving family, her spouse, Joanne Jurek of Canton; her children, Kelly, Jason, Jeremy, Justin, Paloma, Travis, Mia and Nick; 20 grandchildren;  14 great-grandchildren; 7 great- great grandchildren and also her special beloved pets, her dogs, Buddy and Leah and her cats, Angelina, Nikki and Gracie and many friends.

A gathering of family and friends to honor and remember the life of Kathy will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
