Candler / Canton- During the peaceful spring morning of Saturday, April 14, 2018, Kathy “Little White Cloud” Green Miller, age 63, surrounded by her loving family and friends, was carried home by the angels to her eternal heavenly home.

Kathy was born January 31, 1955 in Haywood County to the late Hardin Eugene Green and the late Ora Bell Burgess Green. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister; son, Jimmy Dewayne May; a stepson, Mark Faulkner; and a brother, Kenneth Green.

Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 25 years, Richard “Rich” Miller of Candler; her children, Shelly Hawkins (Roger) of Whittier, Christopher May (Angie) of Bethel, and Herbert Mashburn (Jennie) of Canton; step-sons, Mike Faulkner and Jerry Faulkner of West Virginia; her brothers, Doug Green and wife of Canton, and Victor Green and wife of Clyde; 22 grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Wilma Green of Canton; two special cousins, Frank Forster and Irene Green whom she loved and admired deeply and who inspired her daily-always; and several nieces and nephews. Her family will forever remember her words written to each of them, “Keep me in your hearts, never forget me.”

Mrs. Miller was employed as a truck driver for 26 years and drove all across the United States of America before having to retire due to her declining health. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, attending homecoming at Cataloochee where Kathy cooked for her family and friends for over 30 years.

Kathy’s Comforting Message

A funeral service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 19, 2018 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service.  Mrs. Miller will lie in state at the funeral home beginning Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 pm until the hour of service on Thursday. Friends and family are welcome during these hours. Burial will be in Sutton Town Cemetery in Waynesville.  Serving as pallbearers will be, Frank Forester, Joey Williamson, Allen Ledbetter, Charles Green, Kenny Medford, James Ramsey and Jeremiah Green.    

The family of Mrs. Miller will host a time of food and fellowship for all family and friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday evening at The Milltown Place, 51 Main Street in Canton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kathy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, or to St. Joseph Indian School at 1301 North Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
