Canton – Mark Allen Clark, age 53, stepped into his Heavenly home on Monday, July 31, 2017.

Mr. Clark was born in California to the late Charles Clark and Edwina Summey Clark Henson of Canton.  Mark had made his home in Canton all of his life.  He loved his family deeply and the weekends that he spent on Fontana Lake.  Mark was a kind friend to everyone that he met.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vivian and Edward Summey; his paternal grandmother, Flora Mae Cogburn and a special uncle, Jess Benjamin Clark.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory are his sweetheart and wife of 31 years, Shannon Mull Clark; his children, Samantha and John Crawford, Nathan Clark and Audrina Morgan and Aaron Clark; his granddaughter, Hannah Crawford, who was his pride and joy; a sister, Karen and Gus Craine; a brother, Doug and Karen Clark; two special people that he loved as brothers, David Ray and Bobby Joe Clark and there are also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that he adored. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at East Fork Baptist Church in Canton.  Reverend Donnie Henson and Reverend Mark Tice will be officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Clark family.

So sad to hear this news today, many memories with this sweet man. When growing up you never realize that one day will come that we get old or just sick and we pass, life just seems like it should never end. Mark was a great person from the first time we met at 5, always smiled and always said Hello. So till we meet again my friend .....
