Mitzi Swanger Rogers
So Dearly Loved
Waynesville- Mitzi Jane Swanger Rogers, age 70, was carried home by the angels and into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 24, 2019.
Mitzi was born February 17, 1949 to the late John Swanger and the late Edith Robinson Swanger. She had made her home in Haywood County all of her life and was a devoted homemaker. Mitzi always welcomed everyone to the Rogers home with open arms and she delighted in family gatherings and holidays that always brought her loved ones together to make special memories that each will cherish forever . The blessed Christmas season held a special place in Mitzi’s heart and she so enjoyed sharing delicious meals, special sweets and desserts and celebrating this special time of the year. Mitzi’s strong faith was an important part of life and she was a dedicated member of Maple Grove Baptist Church where her church family surrounded her with love and prayers. Her kind and caring heart was truly evident as she served as a caregiver to those who needed someone to touch their lives with love and concern and bring a ray of sunshine into their day. Mitzi loved beautiful flowers and that so represents her life- a life full of beauty and joy, and a life that brought many smiles to everyone around her. At this special Thanksgiving season, we give thanks for the life of Mitzi Swanger Rogers, a precious daughter, a loving wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother.
