Susie was a special woman. She faced much adversity but was always smiling and asking about the well being of others. So glad to have known her. “Look homeward angel.”

Susie was the type of person that would be your friend forever. She held her friends and family on a pedestal. She was always helping, caring and protecting. Susie focused on all of us and how she could help us. Not what we could do for her. In our younger years we learned life together as best friends having fun and making memories. We shared the good, the bad, the scary and the sad. All these years later, she was there again for me and my family. And we once again shared the good, the bad, the scary and the sad. And we tried to help her in this battle that she fought with dignity. I admire the person, the life and story of Susie Downs. I thank God for Susie’s friendship. I pray God surrounds Her family and her spouse with love and healing. Until we meet again, my friend. Until we meet again.
