Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother
Canton- Tamara “Tammy” Sue Parker, age 61, a beloved and cherished wife, mother and grandmother, was carried home by the angels on Sunday, February 4, 2018.
Tammy was born November 24, 1956 in Haywood County to the late McKinsey Wayne Parker and the late Betty Sue Pressley Parker. She was raised in a loving home and surrounded all of her life with the joy of music that her talented family shared with friends and the entire community. Tammy also loved to dance and she always brought a smile to everyone’s face as she performed with the Levi Gap Cloggers all across Western North Carolina. She was born with a delightful personality and she never ever met a stranger. Tammy was a true jokester and she often surprised her family by playing funny pranks on each of them. In her quiet times at home Tammy could be found reading or playing games on the computer. She was a wonderful homemaker and the special family gatherings and those times spent all together were indeed a joy to Tammy and were held close to her heart. Our precious Tammy will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, “Skip” Parker.
Surviving are her husband of 21 years, Darrell James of Canton; her daughters, Kelly Henderson and her husband, Roy Henderson of Canton and Suzie Inman and her husband, Jeremy Inman of Canton; sons, Todd Stevens and his wife, Jennifer Stevens; Brad James; Anthony James and his wife Laura James and Joshua James, all of Canton; grandchildren, Alex, Mollie, Ethan, Chelsea, Casey and her husband, Triston, Carter, Jada and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Amalea, Drea and Layla and a special sister-in-law, Carolyn Parker of Asheville.
