Canton- Wanda Marion Mann, of the Beaverdam Community, a beautiful giving lady who loved her family with all her heart and soul, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Mann was born July 9, 1933 in Haywood County and was blessed with 85 years of a full and wonderful life. She was the daughter of the late William Z. Mann and the late Inis Louella Worley Mann. Wanda had made her home in Canton most of her life and had been employed with American Enka Corporation for 20 years and later retired from Champion International with 25 years of dedicated service. Mrs. Mann was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Wanda’s life was filled with happy memories of spending time at the beach and also dancing with several well known square dance teams which included the Southern Appalachian Cloggers, Carolina Cloggers and the Cripple Creek Cloggers. She was indeed a wonderful cook and Wanda always made everyone feel loved and welcome to her home. Her family was always first in her life and each one of them will cherish their memories they have shared with their loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. We give thanks for her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Carines and Gladys Hipps and also her brother, Marvin “Bud” Mann.

Surviving are her daughters, Rebecca Parham of Canton and Tonya McGaha and her husband, Buddy McGaha of Greenwood, South Carolina;  grandchildren, Roy Shannon Parham, Joanna Rowland and  her husband, Brandon Rowland, Josh Scott and his wife, Brooke Scott, Keisha Lanning and her husband, Jonathan Lanning all residing in Canton;  great-grandchildren- Cody, Cayli, Hunter, Heidi, Nathan and Lydia; a brother, Tom Mann and his wife, Wanda Mann of Canton and a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Mann of Virginia;  Stephanie Frazier, who was loved as a daughter and also her children; Wanda’s  beloved best friends, “The Golden Girls” and also her special grand-dog, “Milo”.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Hicks and Pastor Caleb Simmons will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. At other times the family will be at the home.
