Canton - Our beloved and beautiful Amanda Rose Singleton Smith, age 37, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

Amanda was born during the winter season of January 10, 1984 and what great joy and happiness she brought into the lives of her family each and every day. She was the daughter of Lyla Holcombe Smith of Norris, South Carolina, and the late Randall Lynn Singleton. Amanda had proudly received her Certified Nursing Assistant Degree and her kind and sweet ways were always a blessing to the patients that she cared for daily.  Amanda was also a devoted homemaker, an amazing cook, and she cherished her time at home with her family. Anytime that Amanda had the opportunity to see the ocean, go to the river or visit the lake, she was simply delighted with joy-she so loved the water! Amanda was blessed with a loving spirit and she had attended Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, South Carolina. Her love for her family was immeasurable, especially for her beautiful daughters. Amanda had a special relationship with her grandmother and she treasured their time together sharing stories and memories of the past.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William L. Holcombe and her paternal grandfather, Roger Singleton.

Left to carry Amanda’s memory in their hearts forever are her mother, Lyla Smith, and her step-father, Chris Smith of Norris, SC; her children, Lily Smith of Canton and Ava Poppas of Canton; her fiancé, Aaron Poppas of Canton; her siblings, Hollie Mapp and William of Pigeon Forge, TN and Colton McAbee of Norris, South Carolina; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A service of remembrance to celebrate the life of Amanda will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Deitz officiating.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Smith family.
