Ava Sue Bass, a beloved and beautiful baby girl, was welcomed into the comforting arms of Jesus on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

She was born as the early rays of sunshine crested the mountains of Thursday, September 2, 2021 to Taryn Stamey and Alexander Bass.

Ava loved to be held and cuddled, and fall asleep in her parents’ arms. She liked to snuggle up to fuzzy blankets, and her face brightened with an unforgettable smile when she saw her mommy’s face. Although our hearts are broken, we have peace knowing Ava is now one of Heaven’s little angels.

Surviving are her parents, Alexander Bass and Taryn Stamey; grandparents, Kristy Russell, Bobby Stamey, Crystal Bass, and Roy Bass; step-grandmother, Tamyra Stamey; siblings, Paisley Hall, and Ayden Hall; and her aunts and uncles, Joshua Stamey, Matthew Sizemore, Savannah Sizemore, Dylan Bass, and Tyler Bass.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ava Sue Bass will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, October 25, 2021 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the family of Ava Sue Bass.

Mommy misses you so much baby girl I miss your little cry when you would get hungry I miss getting up and telling you good morning beautiful and you smiling at me I miss you holding my fingers as tight as you could I miss laying you on my chest and you looking up at me and sticking your tongue out! Ava where to begin baby girl you was taking way to soon we love and miss you I only got to love on you once but I loved you for nine months I remember all your hospital pics you looked just like your bubba and sissy you keep nana bet and papaw company til we make it up there we miss you beautiful and now your a beautiful angel. Little precious Ava, I only seen and held you once never knowing I would never get to again. I think about you constantly. You are one of God's beautiful precious little Angels now. I know Nana Bet and Papaw Jimmy is with you watching over each and every one of us and when the Good Lord calls us home we will all be together again. I love you little Ava Sue.....

Ava you was such a gift to this family and taking way to soon i know we will never know why you had to leave but we will always remember loving you and even though i only got to meet you once and love on you once i will always love you. You was to beautiful for earth and god must have had a good reason to call you home so soon. You will never be forgotten baby girl we love and miss you everyday.
