Betty Ann Plemmons
A Loving Wife, Mother, and Friend

Canton – Betty Ann Neuenschwander Plemmons, age 67, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 in her home with her loving family by her side.
A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, she was born November 26, 1953 to the late Homer Neuenschwander and the late Ruth Breedlove Neuenschwander.
Betty was a wonderful wife and loving mother. She had been formerly employed with The Mountaineer and with TA (TravelCenters of America) Truck Stop. Betty enjoyed reading her Bible and she loved the Lord. Offering herself to charity always brought a lot of joy to Mrs. Plemmons’ heart, and she was a gifted crocheter and would use her talents to help others, crocheting hats for the homeless, patients battling cancer, and making “healthcare hero” bears for nurses and health care providers throughout the pandemic. Her loving and generous heart and gracious ways will be missed, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Surviving are her loving husband of 43 years, Michael Plemmons; daughter, Jennifer Danigel of Canton; brothers, James (Elizabeth) of Waynesville, Donald (Yvonne) of San Antonio, TX, and David (Sandy) of Calhoun, GA; sisters, Debra Stevenson (John) of Waynesville, and Sandy Neuenschwander of Waynesville; and many dear friends.
A Service of Remembrance to honor the life of Betty Plemmons will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. Pastor Sam Adams will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Betty Plemmons to the Haywood Cancer Center, 600 Hospital Drive, Ste. 10 A, Clyde, NC 28721.
