Betty Jean Sutton "Jeanne", a lifelong resident of Haywood County passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Haywood Regional Hospital.

She was a loving mother and a follower of Jesus Christ. Betty spent most of her life in Haywood County caring and tending to the needs of others. She took great pride in her cooking and flower gardens and was always ready with a home-cooked meal and a smile for any and all. 

She is preceded in passing by her parents, William and Hilda Burchfield, her son Kevin Revels, and her loving husband James Sutton. She leaves behind her loving family including her brother David Burchfield, her son William Revels, a nephew she absolutely adored Jason Burchfield, and his wife Alicia Burchfield. She will be missed dearly by so many who knew and loved her. 

A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Meadow Grove Baptist Church.

In Lieu of flowers, she has requested donations be made to St. Judes Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in her memory.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Sutton family.

I will dearly miss you .. you were my best friend and my mom my not been by blood but you were my mom and I will forever love you and miss you.. I was thelma to your Louise, always partner in crime that was our personal joke.. we would talk for hours .. you taught me so much about life, cooking, just about true friendship Jeanne.. you will be forever missed.. Bill and family we are so sorry to hear of Jeanie's passing- I had spoken to her a little while back and she was her usual funny self. She truly loved my dad and I know that she missed him terribly. They are up there together- happy now with no sickness!! Our love and prayers are with you all.
