Waynesville- Bobby Reeves McCracken, Sr., age 81, a kind and friendly man, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

Bobby was born November 4, 1938 in Haywood County to the late Roy McCracken and the late Lucy Hipps McCracken.

He had resided in Morristown, Tennessee before returning to his home in Haywood County where he had resided for the past 20 years. Mr. McCracken retired from Haywood County Hospital and also retired from Pilot Service Center. Bobby loved to garden and had a natural “green thumb” when it came to growing anything. He was loved by everyone, and his joy was to be with his family and friends and to create wonderful memories that each of them will remember forever. We know that our beloved "Papaw" will be watching over us from heaven.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his two brothers, Joe McCracken and Howell McCracken; his sister, Dorothy “Dot” Ross; and three nephews.

Surviving are his children, Phillip Allison and wife Tammy of Galesburg, IL, Bobby McCracken, Jr. of Canton, Joel McCracken and wife Bonnie of Robbinsville, and Kimberly Reece and husband Johnny of Waynesville; grandchildren, Robbie, Jessica, Nicole, Kassie, Alora, Adrian, Christopher, Dakota, Marie, and Katie; 10 great-grandchildren; a special dog, “Thor”, and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the family of Mr. Bobby McCracken, Sr.
