Canton- Darlene Rhodarmer, age 53, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and niece, entered into her glorious heavenly home on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

Darlene was born June 10, 1968 in Haywood County where she has made her home all of her life. She held a strong faith and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Darlene was a Prayer Warrior and she faithfully read and studied her Bible. She loved listening to music and during her quiet moments she also enjoyed working in her adult coloring books. Darlene was blessed with a kind and caring spirit and her memory will remain in our hearts forever.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hayden Rhodarmer; and her nephew, Robert Conard.

Surviving are her mother, Lula Mae Conard Rhodarmer; her brothers, Robert Rhodarmer and Debbie of Canton, and James “Bud” Rhodarmer of Canton; her sisters, Evalee Rhodarmer of Jackson County, and Dora Mae Conard of Waynesville; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 12, 2021 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Reverend Terry Green and Reverend Rodney Henson will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sutton Town Cemetery.

I send my deepest sympathy during this time of sorrow. Darlene and I went to school together at Rock Hill Elementary. I also used to see her when she came to the Haywood County Public Library where I worked. She was a sweet soul

I am saddened to learn of Darlenes passing. She was a friend in school who was quick with a smile and a kind word. May the silver streets of Heaven rejoice that she is among them. She will be missed.
