Waynesville – David "Dave" Lee Hubbard, Jr., age 60, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021.

Dave was born December 16, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan and was the son of the late David Lee Hubbard, Sr. and the late Loretta Mignault Hubbard. He had resided in Lake Helen, Florida before making his home in Haywood County for the past 15 years. Mr. Hubbard had been employed in the construction industry, working as a framer. In describing Dave, he was truly a hard and dedicated worker and was the example of strong work ethic. He could often be found working on vintage trucks, participating in truck pulls with his son and also riding their trucks through the woods.  Happy memories of spending time with his family, especially his grandson and enjoying fun family cookouts brought Dave great joy. His memory will be remain with his family forever.

Surviving are his loving wife of 30 years, Corinna Jacobs Hubbard; his son, David Pernell Hubbard of Canton;  a grandson, Bryson Hubbard of Waynesville; stepchildren, Bucky Daily of Oswego, New York, and Genelle Vela of Mission, Texas; four step-grandchildren; five sisters, and two brothers.

A Gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate the life of Mr. Hubbard will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
