Clyde – James David Price, age 65, of Earnhardt Lane, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015. Mr. Price was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of the late James Price and the late Rebecca Jane Messer Price. He had been employed as an automobile body repairman for Champion Motor Company, Ken Wilson Ford and Taylor Motor Company. David was well known for his talent as being a “Hot Rod ” and “Muscle Car” builder and enthusiast. Mr. Price attended Bible Baptist Church in Waynesville. David always enjoyed spending time at his home and he loved his family deeply. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Parker Price who passed away in February 2014; four sisters, one brother and a niece, Andrea Fish. Surviving are his sisters-in-law, Shirley Cogburn of Clyde, Mary Bradley of Clyde, Jewel Stiles of Canton, Linda Sorrells of Clyde and Mary Sue Litrell of Clyde; brothers-in-law, Carroll Arrington and Albert Arrington of Waynesville, Joe and Dillard Parker of Waynesville, Don Arrington of Canton and Leonard Fish; several nieces and nephews and also his beloved dogs, “Trixie” a Yorkshire Terrier,” Dixie” his Lab and his Boston Terrier,” Baby”. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home. Reverend Erma Bond, Reverend Steven Stanford and Reverend Charlie Creasman will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Crawford / Ray Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Price family
