Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother
Donna Head, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who was born and raised in Canton, North Carolina, passed away on May 2nd, 2022 at the age of 66 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
Donna is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Head; son, Brent (Nathalie) Head; daughter, Wendie Head; grandchildren, Eva LaShay, Trenton, Jaylan, Edan, Karrington, July, Britlyn, and Jacoby; brothers, Danny (Marie) Stanford, and Bob (Kathy) Stanford; sister, Cathy Caldwell; brother-in-law, Martin Camby; mother-in-law, Virgie Head; along with several nieces and nephews.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Went and Eva Stanford; her sister, Ann Camby; and her brother, Scott Stanford.
She dedicated her life to working with children as a daycare owner. In retirement, Donna and Jerry ran a campground for over 10 years at Lake Chatuge. She enjoyed spending every second with Jerry, her kids, and her grandkids making memories at the lake.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Friday, May 6th at Long Branch Baptist Church, 25 Homestead Trail, Canton, NC. Fellowship will be held at the church following the service. Reverend Jimmy Trantham will officiate. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at the church.
