Asheville- Frank Edwin Crowder, Jr., age 50, a loving son, dad, and brother, passed away at his home on Friday, September 11, 2020.

Frank was born October 21, 1969 to the late Frank Edwin Crowder, Sr. and Patricia Parham Crowder of Asheville.  He had made his home in Buncombe County most of his life and he was indeed blessed with multitudes of friends.  Frank was an outstanding athlete and was a member of the Enka High School football and wrestling teams. He was formerly employed with American Vault Company and Asheville Vault Service in Candler.  Frank was indeed a hard worker and the quality of his work was always outstanding.  He never met a stranger and Frank was always there to help anyone who might need a helping hand. He enjoyed riding and training horses, especially Tennessee Walkers and American Quarter Horses, and he also loved being outdoors and going fishing in his spare time. Frank loved spending time with his family and he treasured the time that they shared together. Most importantly Frank had given his heart to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was baptized and read his Bible faithfully. He was of the Baptist faith and was most recently attending Victory Fellowship Worship Center in Weaverville.  Frank will be remembered as a man with a caring and loving spirit and the memory of  his big beautiful smile will remain with those who loved him forever.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Donnie Eugene Crowder.

Surviving are his mother, Patricia Parham Crowder of Asheville; his son, Casey Crowder of Laurens, SC; his brother, Buddie Crowder and wife, Laura of Clayton, NC; his nephews and niece, Seth, Hayden and Paige; his aunts, Polly, Annie, and Willa Faye; and many cousins.

Memorials may be made in Frank’s memory to support those with PTSD, through or through a local organization of your choosing.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for Frank Crowder and his family.
