Following his retirement, he spent his days doing what he loved best- raising cattle, farming his land, and planting a garden every year. Harold always made certain to plant a little extra, enough to be able to share with family and friends! With his boots, hat, and a big smile he would head out to his farm each day, a memory that will be forever cherished by his family. Harold was a faithful member of Maple Grove Baptist Church, where he had been actively involved and had held several positions in his church. He lived his life hand in hand with the Lord and he was a walking testimony of his great faith to everyone he met. Harold was a wonderful husband and an amazing father and grandfather that will be deeply missed each and every day. A kind and humble man, Harold Fayne Shook will be remembered as a man with a servant’s heart and a true concern for others. His life was a portrait of devotion to his faith and his family.
