Harry Thomas Brock
In Honor and Remembrance
Harry Thomas Brock, 80, of Haywood County, went to Heaven to meet his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2026.
Harry was raised in Haywood County and was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Brock and Elizabeth Woody Brock. He was a proud Vietnam-era veteran and dedicated much of his life to serving and helping others in his community.
Harry was preceded in death by his infant son, Mathew Thomas Brock; five brothers, Marvin Wiggins, William Brock, Ronald Brock, Donnie Brock, and Clarence “Tim” Brock; and three sisters, June Cook, Brenda Brock Neal, and Lynn Brock.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Lackey Brock. He is also survived by his son, Stephen James Brock (Lisa); three daughters, Laura Brock Arrington (Charles), Jennifer Brock, and Julie Brock (Shaun); his brother, Daniel Brock (Dawn); four sisters, Eva Brock, Linda Robinson, Sharon Brock, and Karen Wright; four grandsons, Jordan Brock, Silas Brock, Daniel Arrington, and Thomas Adams; three granddaughters, Catherine Arrington, Annalyn Adams, and Madalin Smathers; two great-grandchildren, Noah Brock and Sophia Brock; and a special great-niece, Kercy Ayers.
Harry's family was the center of his world, and he especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren. Some of his happiest memories were made camping at Lake Chatuge with his family, where he enjoyed making memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
Harry had a heart for his community and spent many years giving his time to local youth sports. He served for several years as President of the Waynesville Youth Basketball League and as Vice President of Lake Junaluska Little League Football.
Throughout his working life, Harry was known for his strong work ethic and his willingness to serve others. He worked for several years delivering milk for Biltmore Dairy before retiring from Moore's Quality Snack Foods, where he served as a District Sales Manager.
Harry was truly a jack of all trades and could do just about anything. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, never hesitating to help a friend, neighbor, or stranger. His generosity, kindness, and ability to make people feel welcome were just a few of the qualities that made him so special.
Harry was the bright spot in any room. He had a way of making people smile and made the world a happier place for everyone he touched. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with him, and his legacy of love, kindness, service, and faith will live on through the many lives he touched.
Though he will be deeply missed, Harry's family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, reunited with those who went before him, and resting in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Harry's memory to the Haywood County Animal Shelter, 453 Jones Cove Road, Clyde, NC 28721.
A Celebration of Life Service with military honors will be held at 2: 00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Clyde First Baptist Church. Pastor Alan Blanton and Pastor Ricky Taylor will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is deeply honored to be caring for the Brock family.
