A Kind Gentleman

Photo of Hugh M. Justice - 1936-2020

Canton / Sylva - Hugh Montgomery Justice, age 84, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Harris Regional Medical Center in Sylva.

Hugh was born March 25, 1936 to the late Robert Justice and the late Artie Speagle Justice. Hugh was born into a large and loving family and his life was always filled with joy, laughter, and wonderful memories. Hugh often spent time among the mountains where he was born and raised, going trout fishing and digging ginseng during the fall season.  He loved listening to country and gospel music and Hugh loved to dance. He brought a smile to everyone’s face when he stepped onto the dance floor and looked for a partner to join in the mountain square dancing. Hugh was a kind and good man and he never ever met a stranger. We give thanks for his blessed life and we each will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses, Carl (Annie) Justice, George (Flora) Justice, Hattie (Richard) Haney, Charles (Nancy) Justice, Bonnie (Leslie) Woodard, Robert, Jr. (Mae) Justice, and Thomas Justice.

He is survived by his brother, Marion (Mabel) Justice; his sister, Fannie Wells; sister-in-law, Dorothy Justice; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A private family burial was held in Center Pigeon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Justice family.
