Jack Andy Parris
Never Forgotten

Sylva- Jack Andy Parris, age 74, passed away at his home after a period of declining health on Monday, July 11, 2022.
Jack was born August 5, 1947 to the late Buford Earl "Dud" Parris and the late Kathleen Jones Parris. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and had proudly served his country in Vietnam as a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Parris retired from the United Parcel Service with 30 years of dedicated service. Jack was proud of the mountains where he was born and raised and he lived life to the fullest: hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding and especially riding his Harley. We give thanks for the life of Jack Andy Parris and let us each follow his example of living as today’s moments become tomorrow’s memories and embrace every special moment with joy and happiness. As we think of Jack let us never forget his words to loved ones and friends, "Ain't love grand."
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Andy; his daughter, Charlene; a brother, Alan Earl Parris and a sister, Nancy Jane Parris.
Surviving are his loving wife, Julie; his step-son, CJ Woodard and his wife, Danielle Burchfield Woodard; sisters, Mary Kathleen Parris and Dixie Linda Parris Smiley; nieces, Karen Smiley and Regina Smiley Wade; nephews, Michael and Jesse Kirk; also lots of friends and loved ones.
A graveside service of remembrance with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Addie Cemetery in Sylva. The Reverend Eddie Stillwell will be officiating.
