Statesville / Candler - Jackie Marion Paige, age 78, was called to his eternal home on September 1, 2023.

Mickey was born in Greenwood, SC, a son of the late Horace and Mary Paige, was a graduate of A.C. Reynolds High School, and proudly served as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. 

Mickey was known as one witty character. He enjoyed fishing, sports, antiques, writing poetry, and woodworking. 

In addition to his parents, Mickey is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 53 years, Judy Paige; brother, Ronnie Paige and sister-in-law, Patsy Paige. 

Surviving are his sons; Mike Paige of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Chris Paige (Crystal) of Troutman, NC; grandchildren, Tyler and Maddox Paige of FL, Michael, Anthony, and David Rank of NC; sisters, Ann Paige of Asheville, NC and Barbara Barbour of Oteen, NC, and brother Harry Paige and his spouse, Becky, of Leland, NC; brother-in-laws and sister in-laws; Art and Rita Fowler of Warner-Robbins, GA; Roger and Kim Edmonds of Candler, NC; Johnny Edmonds, Asheville, NC along with several nieces and nephews. 

A military graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Hice Hill Cemetery in Candler, NC. Pole Creek Baptist Church Ministries will be officiating. The family will receive friends at Pole Creek Baptist Church following the graveside service. Followed by a reception for family and friends.
