James Wilburn Reemes

Leicester- James Wilburn Reemes, age 79, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 and entered into his eternal Heavenly home.

James was born November 2, 1943 to the late Charlie Chandler Reemes and the late Velma Roberta Buckner Reemes. He had made his home in the Leicester community all of his life and was a talented self-employed builder and also worked in the timber industry throughout the area. Mr. Reemes was a man of faith and had attended Chestnut Grove Baptist Church and also Jones Valley Baptist Church.  James was proud of where he was born and raised and he spent many hours walking among the mountains and also helping tend cattle with neighbors and friends. James was blessed with a friendly and outgoing personality and he never met a stranger. He was a good and faithful man that will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and a niece.

He is survived by his brother Donald Reemes of Leicester; also many good friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastor Ricky Surrett will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Marshall. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Reemes, Justin Reemes, Ralph Reemes, Tony Reemes, Dylon Williams and Everette Reemes.
