A Caring and Loving Lady

Canton- Janice “Jan” Carole Revis Lee, age 62, entered into her glorious home in Heaven on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

Jan was born June 14, 1959 to the late Van Revis and the late Faye Hyde Revis. She was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and was formerly employed with HT Hackney Company in Waynesville. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she worshipped and where she was surrounded by a loving church family. Jan was blessed with a kind and caring heart and she often gave of her time to volunteer at the Community Kitchen in Canton. During her quiet moments, she enjoyed reading and she will always be remembered as a true artisan, often creating lovely handmade crafts, paintings, and also sewing.  Jan’s great love for all children was evident as she enjoyed spending time babysitting and she often drove many of her nieces and nephews that adored her to school each day. We give thanks for the life of Janice “Jan” Revis Lee and the blessing that she was throughout her life to so many.  Jan will forever be remembered as a wonderful wife, a loving mother, a dear sister, and a special aunt. At the end of each day, we shall pray for peace and strength for each of us until we are together again with our beloved Jan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Diana Cooke; and her nephew, Craig Cooke.

Left to cherish her precious memory are her devoted husband of 43 years and the love of her life, Allen Lee; a son, Mitchell Lee of Canton; her sisters, Sherry Mashburn and Ronnie of Waynesville, Shanan Cole and Richard of Canton; brother, Kevin Revis and Ginger of Canton; a brother-in-law, Lewis Cooke of Canton; nieces and nephews, Mitch Cooke, Dalton Cole, Mary Revis, Savana Cole, Brad Mashburn, Todd Mashburn, and Chandler Revis; great-nieces, Shelby Mashburn and Mikayla Mashburn; a great-nephew, Cameron Scoffield; and many dear friends.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 13, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery in Canton.  Reverend Eddie Deitz and Reverend Jack Holland will be officiating. Honored to be serving as pallbearers will be Dalton Cole, Ronnie Mashburn, Travis Webb, Richard Cole, Eric Powell, Mitch Cooke, and Lewis Cooke.

Memorials may be made in Jan’s memory to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Ladies Food Ministry, 261 Dix Creek Road, Canton, NC 28716.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Lee family.
