Janice Lynn Boone

Asheville/Canton – Janice Lynn Ferguson Boone, age 56, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Mrs. Boone was a native of Buncombe County and had resided most of her life in Haywood County before making her home back in Buncombe County for the past six years. She was the daughter of the late Joel Ferguson and the late Martha Royer Ferguson. Janice was the owner and operator of Dust Bunnies Professional Cleaning Service. She was a wonderful cook and the special memories of Janice preparing her delicious spaghetti for the whole neighborhood will never be forgotten. She truly had a kind and caring heart and she always put others before herself. Janice will forever be remembered as a great “GRANNA” and a wonderful giving lady. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Ferguson. Surviving are her daughter, Lyndsie Boone of Canton; a son, Tyler Boone and Haleigh Russell of Asheville; grandchildren, Charlie Beth Boone and Braylon Boone;the father of her children, Steve Boone of Arden; her sisters, Becky Ford of Ohio and Gail Murray of Leicester. A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at Crestview Baptist Church in Canton. Pastor Dan Paige will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the celebration of life service. Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Boone family.
