A Man Greatly Loved

Photo of Jeremy Heath Justice - 1982-2024

During the early morning hours of Saturday, June 15, 2024, our family, and our community lost a young man who is deeply loved by all who knew him. Jeremy Heath Justice, age 41, entered into God’s loving and eternal care.

Jeremy was born October 23, 1982, to the late Jessie Ray “JR” Justice, Jr., and the late Betty Jenkins Justice. He was blessed to be raised with a large and loving family and Jeremy’s life was a gift of joy and happiness each and every day. His heart overflowed with goodwill. His kindness and willingness to help others touched lives in ways he might never have known.

Jeremy had worked in the landscaping industry and he found great solace in spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting among the mountains and spending endless hours fishing the cool streams. His love for animals was evident throughout his life, especially for his dog and best friend, “Beagle” who was always at Jeremy’s side. We can never forget Jeremy’s contagious smile and his happy laughter which will linger in our memory forever.

His strong Christian faith was the compass guiding his life and we give thanks knowing that we shall be together with him again in Heaven. Jeremy’s life was like a ripple across the water, reaching out and touching many and leaving behind wonderful memories of him that will never be forgotten by his loving wife, his beloved sisters, brothers, and a multitude of friends. Jeremy was a good and kind man and his life was a true example of compassion and caring about others. As the gentle wind blows across the mountains or the bright sunshine warms our faces let us always remember Jeremy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Diane Chambers and Denise Justice, and his brother, Stephen Justice.

Surviving are his precious wife, Jessica Simonds Justice; his siblings, Belinda Messer (Danny), Stevie Ledford (Shirley), Kevin Justice (Kim), Darrin Justice (Jackie), Ann Ahles (Mike), Vickie Bryson, Stephanie Justice, and Charles Justice.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, June 21, 2024, at Belmont Church, 55 Belmont Church Road, Clyde, NC. Pastors, Billy Ferguson, and Kenny Banks will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Ledford, Brody Ferguson, Kirk Messer, Danny Messer, Josh Horne, and Bobby Joe Sutton. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Jared Anderson.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Justice family.

I am proud to be a first cousin to Jeremy. He and I talked alot. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and spoke often about being a child of the King. I do look forward to meeting back up with him on Heaven's bright shore. He wanted friends and family to know Jesus in the free pardon of Sin. So we, can all be back together on the far side banks of Jordan. Much love to all who were blessed by this wonderful Man. Cousin, friend Gary Justice.

Every word is true written here. I know I only knew Jeremy for a short time but there are very few people who are still kind in this world. He was one of them. I don’t think I ever saw him without a smile or that up beat attitude that just brought a smile. I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact he is gone so soon. Love you Jessica and you know Mallory and I are here for you.

Jeremy was like an additional brother during a time in my life where he helped me see the light. He was such a an incredible soul, salt of the earth kind of guy. He would give a stranger the shirt off his back if he knew it would help him. I can only imagine the time he is having in heaven with his Mom. Rest easy Jeremy and praying deeply for Jessica, his family and many friends. God bless you all.

It’s sad, that in this day and time, that folks don’t even know all of their family, and that is the case here. I never had the pleasure of meeting Jeremy, but that didn’t stop me from hearing how much he was loved. My parents, William and Kathleen Hipps, loved Jeremy very much, I know this because they would tell me all about him and how good of a man he was. I know he will be missed dearly… because I already do myself. Jeremy… I’ll finally get meet you heaven. ❤️

I remember him when he did some landscape work with my Uncle David. He also would always talk to my daddy and would laugh and cut up with him. He was a nice man and I am so sorry for your loss.
