Waynesville- Joyce Marie Bryson Chamberlain, age 93, a kind and giving lady, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021.

Joyce was born May 18, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James M. Bryson and the late Blanche Fisher Bryson. She was an amazing lady with many talents and everyone admired her creative work of forming clay figurines of special people from photographs. She also crafted amazing Santa Claus figurines, creating each to be different and unique.  Joyce was also a gifted artist and her love of beautiful birds and all animals was held close to her heart. As an example of her caring heart, Joyce took it upon herself to feed the chickens that often visit the Food Lion parking lot in Canton. She also enjoyed beautiful flowers and Joyce’s heart overflowed with kindness and generosity. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Chamberlain who passed away in 1963; her son, Gary Chamberlain; a sister, Dorothy Bryson Couch; and also a grandson.

Surviving are her daughter, Lynda Joy Barnett of Phoenix, Arizona; and special friends, Matthew Miller, Jim Roberts, Mandy Hughes, and Donald & Marilyn Greene.

At Joyce’s request, no formal services will be held at this time.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Chamberlain family.

Condolences from family and friends
