Juanita Messer Stamey
Loved By Everyone
Canton- Today on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, Heaven gained another beautiful angel and a very special lady, Juanita Messer Stamey.
She was and always will be the most loving, caring, giving, and unselfish wife, Mama, Nanny, and sister a person could ask for. Juanita was full of life and always had a sparkle in her beautiful blue eyes. She enjoyed camping, sitting by the fire, cooking, and baking. She also enjoyed listening to music and dancing. The most important part of her life was raising her precious family. Juanita’s strong faith in God carried her throughout her life and now she is dancing across Heaven with the angels.
Juanita is preceded on her journey Home by her son, Terry Stamey; her parents, John and Violet Messer; her special step-mom, Ida; her four brothers, Harold Messer, Kenneth Messer, Johnny Messer, and Jerry Messer; and her son-in-law, Larry King, all waiting with open arms.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband Sam Stamey of 64 years are her two daughters, JoAnn King and Debbie Carter (Ernest); her son, Eddie Stamey (Debbie); 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-greatgrandchildren; her brother, Ralph Messer (Lou); and numerous nephews and nieces.
A receiving of friends and visitation will be held at Crawford / Ray Funeral Home in Canton from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2020. A graveside funeral service to celebrate the life of Juanita will immediately follow at 3:30 pm at Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde with Pastor Chris Willett and Pastor Darryl Messer officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Darryl Messer, Darren Messer, Doug Messer, and David Owen. Please join us in rejoicing our mama’s wonderful life. In her honor, we ask that everyone wear something red as this was her favorite color.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice, John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center building, which was a very peaceful place for Juanita and our family, at 68 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
Crawford / Ray Funeral Home is in charge of the journey home for our wonderful wife, Mama, Nanny, and sister.
Condolences from family and friends
