Candler – Judith “Judy” Marie Parris (Smith), age 77, peacefully passed away at her home on Thursday, January 19, 2023, surrounded by many of her favorite people that Judith loved dearly.

Judy was born May 26, 1945, in Buncombe County to the late Gardner Parris and the late Evelyn Mae Guy Parris.  When remembering Judy we recall how very much she enjoyed going bowling, playing cards with her family and friends and especially taking long rides along the parkway enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery. Her memory will remain a part of those who loved her forever.

She is survived by her daughter, March, a son, John; a sister, Jean (DP), a brother, Steve (Tam), a granddaughter, Jessica and two great-granddaughters, Faith and Bella.

The service of remembrance to honor the life of Judith will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, January 27, 2023, at Browns View United Methodist Church. The family will be receiving friends at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

JUDY ALWAYS PUT HER TRUST AND FAITH IN JESUS. SHE LOVED HER CHURCH AND TESTIFIED OF HER CHILDHOOD AT BROWN'S VIEW CHURCH. I LOVED HER REALISTIC OUTLOOK THAT KEPT HER REMINDED OF THE GOOD WORK THAT WE NEEDED TO DO WHILE HER BODY WOULD NOT COOPERATE. WHEN GOD IS READY. I WILL MEET HER IN THE PLACE JESUS HAS GONE TO PREPARE FOR ALL WHO ACCRPT HIM AS SAVIOR.
