Candler-  Judith “Judy” Ann Towe Moore, age 78, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 30, 2020.

Judy was born May 29, 1942 to the late James Ernest Towe, Sr. and the late Virginia Mae Hill Towe. She was a native of Haywood County and had made her home in Buncombe County for the past 15 years. Judy had been employed as a medical assistant for several chiropractor offices throughout the area.  She was a most kind and caring lady and with her sweet spirit she touched the lives of many. Judy was a faithful member of Mountain View Church of God in Canton where she had often played the piano and organ during the worship services. Music was indeed an important part of her life and she especially loved gospel music and to lift her voice in praise. An extremely talented seamstress, Judy was always busy sewing and making something that turned out simply lovely and special. She enjoyed going camping with her family and those happy and fun memories will always be treasured.  Being a grandmother and great-grandmother was her proudest joy and nothing brought her more happiness than the special time that she spent with her great-granddaughters. Judy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always made time for her family, who lovingly shared her faith and wisdom, and who brought great love into the hearts of each of her family.  Let us give thanks for Judy’s life and rejoice knowing that she is in Heaven on this day.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husbands, Roy Wheeler and Gene Moore.

Surviving are her children, Jimmy Wyatt and his wife, Lou Ann of Clyde, and Cathy Welch of Waynesville; her grandchildren, Ashley, Kale, and  Kyle and his wife, Megan; her great-grandchildren, Rylee, Camryn, and Savannah;  her sister, Barbara Hannah and her husband Harold; her brothers, Ernie Towe and his wife, Shelia, and Jerry Towe and his wife, Linda.

A graveside memorial service to celebrate and honor the life of Judy will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler. Pastor Mike Hicks will be officiating.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the family of Judy Moore.

Condolences from family and friends

Judy was always a fun aunt to be with, I will always remember her making us all matching dresses for church. We had many camping trips and a few beach trips that I cherish the memories always. We all miss her dearly.

Cathy and Jimmy, Barbara, Ernie and Jerry, I am saddened to learn of Judy’s passing. She was a sweet neighbor and friend, as you all were, when our family moved to the Mile Straight. We were neighbors for many years and Judy was always kind to me. I’ll remember her fondly and I hope your sweet memories can bring you comfort in this difficult time.
