Loving Mother and Grandmother
Canton – Judy “Dool” Lynette Clontz Carver, age 50, of Greenberry Street, entered into the arms of the angels on Sunday, October 4, 2015. Judy was born August 5, 1965 in Haywood County to the late Ellis Clontz and the late Margaret Geneva Farmer Clontz. She had resided in Haywood County all of her life and was a devoted homemaker and an avid reader. Judy’s family was her life and she will always be remembered for her kind and caring heart. She took care of everyone – and was indeed a blessing to so very many. Even at her young age, Judy was considered to be the matriarch of the family. To know her was to love her and we shall hold our treasured memories of Judy “Dool” Carver forever in our hearts. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Anthony James and his wife, Lara James of Canton, Joshua James of Canton and Brad James and his wife, Haley James of Waynesville; a brother, James Clontz and his wife, Robin Clontz of Clyde; a sister, Joanne Conner of Waynesville; grandchildren, Brittani Wade, Carter James, Myah James and Jayda James; great-grandchildren, Drake Smith, Drea Johnson and Layla Johnson; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at Old River Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Center Pigeon Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. The family of would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at The Homestead in Clyde and especially to Rosie and Elizabeth for the love and special care given to Judy.
