Canton / Gastonia- Our family is deeply saddened by the passing of Kenneth “Ken” Gregg Wilson, age 48, on Monday, November 22, 2021.

Ken was born September 25, 1973 in Haywood County to the late Charles Ray Wilson, Sr. and the late Eunice Alfredia Swanger Wilson. He had made his home in Gastonia for the past several years. Mr. Wilson had been employed as a forklift operator and he was also skilled at repairing small motors.  Ken was a talented woodworker and crafter and his work was greatly admired by everyone. He will forever be remembered as a calm and quiet man and Ken was always a man true to his word.  He was a good daddy, grandfather, and beloved brother who will never be forgotten.

Surviving are his children, Ken Wilson Jr. and Dine of Waynesville, Brittany Wilson and Christopher of Gastonia and Courtney Wilson and Julian of Kentucky; grandchildren, Lexie, Cadian, Ezra, Summer, and Elaine; his sisters, Debra Wilson of Hendersonville, Sonya Clough of Cherryville, and Andrea Reel of Lincolnton; and his brother, Charles Wilson of Canton.

The family will be receiving friends at Crawford / Ray Funeral Home from 1:00 to 1:30 pm Sunday, November 28, 2021, and will dedicate time for sharing memories from 1:30 to 2:00 pm. The graveside funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm in Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Nations and Pastor Otis Clough.

The Wilson family kindly ask that memorials in Mr. Wilson’s memory be made to Crawford / Ray Funeral Home to help assist the family with funeral expenses.
