Kenneth "Ken" Jeff Haney
Never Forgotten

Canton- Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to a beloved son and brother who entered into his Heavenly home on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Kenneth Jeff Haney, age 55, is now in a glorious place of peace and rest.
Kenneth’s life journey began in the spring season of May 19, 1966. His birth was indeed a blessing to his parents, Sue Penley Haney of Canton and the late Douglas James Haney who passed away in 2018. Ken continued to be a blessing each and every day for the rest of his life, bringing laughter, happiness and joy to his family, friends and those around him. He was a member of the 1984 graduating class of Pisgah High School and later chose to continue his education at Haywood Community College where he received an Associate’s Degree. Kenneth honorably and proudly served his country in the United States Army, having been stationed in Germany for two years and was involved with working on hydraulic missile launchers. Ken was employed as a dedicated computer analyst for several companies, including Boeing in Charleston, South Carolina. He loved the ocean, spending time at the beach and fishing for hours off the pier. These were memories he treasured. Ken was a man with many talents and he was a true craftsman. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Canton. Ken was deeply loved and he taught us that the most important mark we can leave on this earth is the goodness and kindness that we show to others. He will never be forgotten.
Surving are his mother, Sue Penley Haney of Canton; his brother, Kevin Haney and his wife Gina of Hartsville, South Carolina; his nephews, Zachary and Michael Stephens and also many friends.
The Haney family will privately honor the life of Kenneth, with interment at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. To honor his request no formal funeral services will be held.
Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Haney family.
Condolences from family and friends
