Loved Her Family and Her Lord

Photo of Kim Berry Allen - 1958-2023

Kim Berry Allen left this earth to rejoice in Heaven's glory on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Her son, Jason and her friend, Cheryl were by her side. She is now dancing on streets of gold, no longer in pain or struggling for breath.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents, William and Carolyn Berry; her sister, Kathy Borth; and was no doubt met at the gates of Heaven by the love of her life, Rex Allen.

Kim was born in Hialeah, Florida on March 26, 1958. After graduating high school, she moved to Cashiers with her family in 1976. She met her one and only, Rex Allen, and they married on February 14, 1982. In her younger years, Kim held different bookkeeping and office positions. Kim semi-retired in 2007 so she could spend as much time as she wanted with her new grandbaby. She continued bookkeeping part-time for her husband's company, Rex's Excavating. It was obvious to all who knew Kim that she loved the Lord, her husband Rex, and spending time with her granddaughter, Kasey. Kim loved to travel. Her favorite thing to do when the weather started to warm up was to go camping with her family.

Kim is survived by her son, Jason (Sarah) Berry; brother, Billy (Star) Berry; sister, Claire Baumgarner; grandchildren, Gavin and Kasey; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved like family.

Kim loved the Lord, and it was her wish that friends and family accept Him before they pass. Kim also loved flowers of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Please wear the color of your favorite flower to her memorial service that will be held at the Cashiers Church of God on Saturday, March 25, 2023. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., with a service starting at 3:00.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the family of Kim Berry Allen.

What a beautiful tribute to one of the sweetest and most adorable women who I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I thank the Lord for the privilege to have known Kim, such a pure, pure-hearted person. Truly, what a day it will be when our Savior we shall see as we all meet Him, with Kim, in the air. What a day!

My condolences to Claire and the rest of the family. Kim was a very dear and sweet person and it it sad to think she won't be on this earth any longer. She has surely been reunited with many friends and family in heaven.
