Letitia Hamm Sharp
In Loving Memory
Letitia Hamm Sharp, a beautiful, beloved, and kind lady, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Haywood Regional Medical Center, where she was lovingly cared for by Four Seasons Hospice staff during her illness.
She was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, on February 21, 1943, to the late Failous and Pearl Scates Hamm and had made her home in Haywood County for the past years.
Letitia was a talented poet and artist, always seeing the world as a place of beauty and meaning. Everything that she created was done with her caring heart. Her love for animals was one of her defining joys, always advocating for their care and protection. Letitia was a lady who was always there to help anyone in need. Her compassion was unwavering; her great strength and determination were a major part of her personality – No matter the difficulty she faced, she met it with courage and grace.
Above all, she adored her sons – her boys who were the center of her world. She carried them in her heart through every challenge, every triumph, and every quiet moment in between.
Letitia longed to return to her home, but she traded her earthly home for her Heavenly eternal home, free of pain and now at peace. We give thanks for her blessed life.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Carlyle Sharp; her son, Kenneth Bruce Gaddy; and her sister, Jennifer Hamm Grasty.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, William Kirk Gaddy (Kim); her grandchildren, Megan Roundtree (William), Courtney Stephens (John), Cameron Gaddy (Lauren), Haley Kirk (Brandon), and Wesley Gaddy (Hannah); eleven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Jolliena Kidd.
Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is deeply honored to be caring for the Sharp family.
Condolences from family and friends
