Lovada Peebles Brown
So Dearly Loved

Canton- During the peaceful evening hours of Friday, May 8, 2020, Lovada Peebles Brown, age 90, left her earthly home and entered into her glorious Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior.
Lovada was born January 15, 1930 in Buncombe County to the late Nettie Watts Peebles and the late James Harley Peebles. She had made her home in Haywood County most of her life and retired from American Enka Corporation / BASF with 42 years of dedicated service.
Mrs. Brown was a faithful member of West Canton Baptist Church and was greatly loved by her church family. She was a wonderful cook and was well-known for her delicious homemade pies. Lovada was a kind and caring lady. Her greatest love was her late husband and her family. The pride and joy that she held for her daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, and great-grandchildren was immeasurable. Our time together passes quickly on this earth, but the love shared between a family lasts forever. We give thanks for the life of Lovada and we know that on this blessed Mother’s Day, she is rejoicing in Heaven.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Brown who passed in 2005; four sisters, and five brothers.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and John West of Toano, Virginia; her granddaughter, Angie West Sims and her husband Wade Sims of Williamsburg, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Ethan Sims; a niece, Patsy Parton of Canton; and a nephew, Robert Dorlan of Canton.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 11, 2020 at Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde. Pastor Larry Sprinkle will be officiating.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Brown’s memory to West Canton Baptist Church, 75 Lowe Street, Canton, NC 28716.
Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Brown family.
