Waynesville- Margaret Ann Stamey Hall, a dear and kind lady blessed with 86 years of a full and wonderful life, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019.

Margaret was born December 7, 1932 to the late Dill Stamey and the late Nettie Zonie Moore Stamey. She had made her home in Haywood County all of her life and had formerly been employed at Lake Junaluska Assembly, Canton Laundry and American Enka Corporation.  Margaret was a talented seamstress and her handiwork of knitting was admired by everyone.  Visiting local yard sales to find a special treasure or a great bargain were always favorite outings for Margaret. She was an amazing cook, loved being at home and was often called a true “ homebody”.  She loved all of her family deeply and they shall each carry her memory in their hearts forever.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Smith and Charlie Hall; a daughter, Nettie Medford; a sister, Frances Henry and a brother, Richard Stamey.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Robert William Smith of Clyde , Margaret Rathbone and her husband, Harold of Waynesville and Charlie Hall and his wife, Sherrie of Waynesville; 7 grandchildren and also 7 great-grandchildren and one little blessing on the way; her brothers, Ernest Stamey and his wife, Ruth of Lake Junaluska and Sam Stamey and his wife, Juanita of Canton; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

The funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Hall will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 1, 2019 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart  will be officiating. Burial will be Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde.

William I am so sorry for your loss. Granny Hall was a very special woman. Many memories to cherish. I loved sitting listening to her and mamaw tell stories when we were all younger. Her sweet hugs and kind words will be truly missed. I will be praying for you and your family during this difficult time.
