Margie Marie King Parker
Loved By Everyone

"No gift on earth is greater, No treasure held above,
The joy that comes from knowing a Mother's endless love."
On the morning of Tuesday, September 12, 2023, our beloved Margie Marie King Parker, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side.
Margie was born in the fall season of November 5, 1940, to the late Earl King and the late Allie Sharpe King and was surrounded by a large and loving family all throughout her life. She had made her home in Haywood County for more than 60 years and Margie was greatly loved by everyone blessed to know her. Her heartwarming smile and her caring and kind personality touched many. During her early years, Margie had been employed at American Enka Corporation, Paxar, and also at Silver Bluff Village, working in Arrowhead Cove. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, special grandmother, and a dedicated homemaker, who graciously made everyone feel welcome to her home. Margie was also an amazing cook and her delicious prune cake and her southern fried chicken livers were favorites of family and friends. It was often said that Margie cooked enough to “feed an army” and that was certainly true! She always made certain that there was plenty of food for everyone when guests and family gathered at her table. A dedicated Christian, Margie loved her Lord and her church family. She was a faithful member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Margie’s memory will live on in all of our hearts. Her life runneth over with meaningful acts of love and kindness and we each need to follow her example and never forget the lessons in life that she has taught us. Margie will be forever missed. Until we meet again.
