Mark Andrew Jonathan Freeman
Deeply Missed by His Family and Friends
Canton- As the warm sunlight shone down upon the mountains on Monday, April 13, 2020, Mark Andrew Jonathan Freeman, a man who was a loving husband, a wonderful daddy, and granddaddy, and a devoted brother peacefully entered into the glorious gates of Heaven.
As our hearts break for the loss of our beloved Mark, we look to our Lord and Saviour for peace and solace and we are comforted by Mark’s favorite verse in the Bible:
John 14: 1-4 (KJV)
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.”
Mark was born June 25, 1970 in Gastonia, NC and was blessed with 49 years of a happy and full life. He had resided in Haywood County most of his life and was employed in the transportation industry as a truck driver with Landair Transport of Greenville, Tennessee.
Mark was a true outdoorsman who loved his land and the mountains. He and his beloved wife Tina often went hiking together and those are wonderful memories she will hold onto forever. Mark enjoyed fishing in his favorite mountain streams and he also raised cattle. The Freeman home was often filled with the sounds of Mark playing the drums and also with the joyous laughter of playing Nintendo Wii Games with his precious granddaughter, Abby. In the sweet words of Abby, “He loved me very much”. Our hearts are filled with sadness as we say goodbye to Mark and we pray for love, strength, and courage to help us through each day until we are with him again in Heaven.
Preceding Mark in death was his father, James Jonathan Freeman.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 24 years, Tina Walker Freeman of Canton; his daughter, Ariel Elizabeth Freeman and Fabian Parr of Canton; his son, Christopher Andrew Freeman of Kings Mountain; a granddaughter, Abby Shannon Freeman; a brother, Terry Stephen Freeman and Kim of Marion; his step-mother, Joyce B. Freeman of Sylva; and also special friends, David and Steve Burnette of Canton.
A celebration of life service to honor and remember Mark will be held at a later date.
Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Freeman family.
