Mary Rose Morgan Pressley age 91, of Waynesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Spicewood Cottages in Clyde.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Beulah Wright Morgan and the late Walter Lawrence (Mutt) Morgan of Clyde. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas D. Pressley, an infant daughter Roseann Poteat, and her brother, John Morgan.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Poteat Morris (Glen) of Houston, Texas, her son Bruce Poteat (Carolyn) of Clyde and her stepson David Pressley (LouAnn) of Canton, her grandchildren Genna Warren, Caitlyn Warren, Ashlyn Warren of Houston, Texas, Bret Pressley of Canton and Laurie Hall of Black Mountain, her great-grandchildren Fayra Alkoussari, Ayla Alkoussari and Chloe Hall.
