Maxie Marie Kelly Callahan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Kelly Callahan, who left us on September1, 2023. She was born on June 18, 1941, in Cumberland, Kentucky to Ida Bell Bush Kelly and Willy Kelly.

Marie was a lighthearted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, enjoyed spending time traveling with her husband and visiting family and dear friends. She spent her working years as a pastry decorator, retiring in 2015. She will be remembered for her laughter and devotion to love and care for anyone in her presence.

Marie is survived by her husband, Dan Forrest Callahan, her daughter, Kelly Callahan Stroupe, and her granddaughter, Stephanie Marie Stroupe. She was predeceased by her son, Dan Wesley Callahan.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Silver Bluff Village Rehab Long Term Care and Four Seasons Hospice for their support during this difficult time.

To honor the request of Mrs. Callahan, no formal funeral service will be held.
