Deeply Loved

Our hearts are saddened by the passing of our beloved Melody Dawn Bryant Deeter on Friday, January 19, 2024.

She was born in the spring season of May 18, 1976, and had made her home among the mountains of Canton all of her life. She was a 1994 graduate of Pisgah High School and chose to continue her education at Haywood Community College. Her kind heart led her into the healthcare profession where she was a phlebotomist, traveling to nursing homes throughout the area to help and take care of her patients. She was dearly loved by everyone who knew her.

Melody had a passion for sports, playing basketball, soccer and even taking judo. She could often be found reading a good book when she had a quiet moment. Melody loved her family deeply- they were her life. Her sweet and loving personality has touched many and she will be greatly missed.

She was a brave and spirited young lady who faced every challenge with determination and resilience. She never gave up, and she never let us give up either. We are proud of her, and we are thankful for her beautiful life. She shall be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Virginia Marzella Holt; her paternal grandparents, Charles Clay Bryant and Ferbia Bryant; and her nephew, Marley Brown.

Melody is survived by her parents, Charles Steven Bryant and Patricia Holt Bryant of Canton; her loving husband James “Jimmy” Deeter of Canton; her children that she adored, Dakota, Kyra, Austin, and Rylan; her grandfather, Henry Holt; her brother, Dustin Bryant; her sister, Holly Bryant Beauregard and her husband Jonas of Seneca, SC; two nieces, Kendall Bryant and Honey Brown and many dear friends.

A celebration of life service will be held from 12:00 noon until 3:00PM on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Deeter family.
