Mr. Nicholas Giliberti

Nicholas Giliberti, 89, of Asheville died on August 7, 2015, at Solace. Mr. Giliberti was a native of New York but moved with his wife to Asheville in 1982. He was the son of the late Gaetano Giliberti and Liberata Russo Giliberti, both of whom were born in Solofora, Italy and have predeceased him. He is also predeceased by his brother Anthony Giliberti and his sisters Ann DiMaggio, Margaret Messina, Antoinette DiMaio and Esther DiMaio. Mr. Giliberti is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diana Bell West Giliberti, his nieces Anna Kafcos, Concetta Facciponti, Estelle Angrisani, and Lucille Harkins of New York and Delaware and their husbands and children, and his one step-son, Marcus Holland West and wife, Deborah Stites West and their three children, Jessica, Allison, and Taylor of Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Atlanta. Mr. Giliberti was predeceased by his beloved step-son, William Jeffrey West, and is survived by Jeffrey’s widow, Karen Corzine West Stanley and daughters and sons-in-law Nicole West Revis and husband Andrew Revis and daughter, Addison Anne Revis of Waynesville and Adrianne West-Todoran and husband Dr. Thomas Todoran and son William Nicholas Todoran of Charleston, SC. Mr. Giliberti is also survived by animals of his home, Amy and Libby, and many visiting birds and animals, including Bennie and the Jets, all of whom he loved. Mr. Giliberti was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Black Mountain, where a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. His ashes will be interred on a later date at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Canton, next to his late stepson, William Jeffrey West.
