Nancy Gayle Duncan
In God’s Care

Leicester – Nancy Gayle Worley Duncan, age 71, of Hazel Lane, entered into her Heavenly home, Monday, May 4, 2015.

Mrs. Duncan was a native of Haywood County and had made her home in Buncombe County. She was the daughter of the late Howard Worley and the late Hazel West Worley. Nancy Gayle graduated from Leicester High School in 1961 and had been employed by the Native Stone Newspaper several years ago. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that always put her family first. She loved all animals, especially horses and her dog, Teddy. She will always be remembered as an active lady who could drive anything from a tractor to a truck and remained very active until her disabilities kept her closer to home. Nancy Gayle’s faith was an important part of her life and the memory of hearing her beautiful voice singing her favorite gospel hymns will never be forgotten. Nancy Gayle Duncan loved her Lord, and we shall always remember her precious spirit.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also (John 14:1-3).

Surviving are her loving husband of 49 years, Jerry Thomas Duncan of Leicester, sons, Ben T. Parham of Leicester and Eric K. Duncan and his wife, Sandy Duncan of Asheville; a daughter, Andrea L. Mills and her husband, Clifton Mills of Leicester; two grandchildren, Jason Jones of Winston-Salem and Justin Jones and his wife, Jocelyn Jones of Ellenboro, NC; three great-grandchildren, Layla, Peyton and Christian; a sister, Peggy Pressley of Leicester and two brothers, Larry Worley of Leicester and Sam Worley of Travelers Rest, SC.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 11, 2015 at Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde. The Reverend Brian Rhodarmer will be officiating.

Memorials to honor Mrs. Duncan may be made to one’s favorite charity.
