Our hearts are saddened by the passing of a dear and beloved lady, Patricia Jaynes Evans, who entered her heavenly home on June 9, 2024.

Patricia was born January 16, 1950, to the late William Malcolm Jaynes and the late Pearl Howell Jaynes and she has been a true blessing to her family and friends for the 74 years of her wonderful life. She had been a dedicated and loyal employee with Century Appliance in Waynesville for 30 years. Patricia’s love for her family was unwavering and her great passion for gardening was evident in the beautiful plants and flowers that she grew. Her lovely lawn was always kept perfectly and admired by everyone who visited or passed by the Evans home. As we remember Patricia, let us never forget her loving and kind spirit and what her life has meant to each of us. A wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Patricia’s precious memory will be with us forever.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-granddaughters, Aurora and Chloe; her brothers, Billy, Carroll, JT, and Mike Jaynes and her sister, Juanita Garland.

Surviving are her sons, Shannon Evans ( Dawn) and Matthew Evans ( Michelle); grandchildren, Caleb Case (Ashley), Colton Case (Kayla), Channing Evans, and Jessica Evans; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Jack, Addie, Sawyer, Jase, Abigail, Lawson, Hannah, and Grant; a brother, Jack Jaynes; sisters, Genevieve Russell and Kathleen Green; a host of nieces and nephews; Grover Earl Evans, the father of her sons; a special friend, Addy “Cookie” Beck; and many dear friends.

A graveside service to honor the life of Patricia will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Garrett Hilcrest Memorial Park in Waynesville . Pastor Zack Plemmons will be officiating.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Evans family.
